Baja Dog Rescue + Animal Assistance League of OC
CUCINA CARES | For the month of January a percentage of every glass or bottle of CUCINA wine sold at our San Diego locations will be donated to Baja Dog Rescue. Their mission as a no-kill shelter is to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted or abandoned and neglected dogs and find them happy homes. Baja Dog Rescue relies solely on the generosity of the public and volunteers and they need our help to save street dogs in Baja California and San Diego!

Marine’s Toys for Tots

Their mission is to assist the U.S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children during the holidays. Marine Toys for Tots is committed to uniting members of local communities in a common cause during their annual toy collection and distribution campaign and to contribute to improving communities in the future.

SD Hunger Coaltion + OC Food Access Coalition
CUCINA CARES | For the month of November a percentage of every glass or bottle of CUCINA wine sold at our San Diego locations will be donated to San Diego Hunger Coalition. 1 in 7 San Diegans don’t always have enough to eat. SD Hunger Coalition leads coordinated action to end hunger in San Diego County supported by research, education and advocacy. SD Hunger Coalition works with school. districts and nonprofits through its Hunger Free Kids program to create free and nutritious meal options that reach as many kids as possible.

CUCINA CARES | For the month of November a percentage of every glass or bottle of CUCINA wine sold at our Orange County locations will be donated to OC Food Access. Almost half of all OC’s children receive free or reduced price lunches at school, and for many, that will be the healthiest meal of the day. Food insecurity is a condition of not having enough good to eat but also not having access to a sufficient variety of foods for adequate nourishment. OCFAC’s mission is to create access to healthy, local food options for the most nutritionally vulnerable residents.

San Diego Food Bank
For the month of August support San Diego Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program through their annual Dollar-A-Dish Campaign! Restaurants, breweries and cafes all over San Diego County participate in the Food Bank’s Dollar-A-Dish campaign every year, including CUCINA! Every time a lunch pizza at CUCINA urbana or CUCINA enoteca + dinner pizza at CUCINA sorella is ordered, $1 is donated to the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. The Food 4 Kids Backpack Program provides weekend backpacks filled with nutritious food to elementary school students living in poverty. Kids on the program receive free school meals Monday through Friday, but face hunger at home on the weekends. The backpack of food they receive sees them through the weekend so they can return to school ready to learn on Monday. Voices for Children
For the month of July CUCINA will donate a percentage of sales of every glass or bottle of CUCINA wine to Voices for Children, an organization that transforms the lives of abused, abandoned or neglected children by providing them with trained, volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates. Many feel very much alone—until they meet their CASA. While the foster care system comprises many talented and passionate professionals, it is also overburdened. CASAs visit with their case children at least once a month. This provides the children with stability and consistency and allows the CASAs to better understand the needs of the children, as well as the children themselves. Project Heal
For the month of June CUCINA will donate a percentage of sales of every glass or bottle of CUCINA wine to Project HEAL, whose mission is to prove that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible and should be accessible. Led by a powerhouse female team, Project HEAL has come to understand that money is not the only barrier to accessing treatment and that clinical treatment is only a piece of the puzzle. After creating Project HEAL’s Treatment Access Program and the Communities of HEALing with chapters all over America, they continue to seek new knowledge and understanding of eating disorder recovery from both academic research and first hand experience. The Seany Foundation
The Seany Foundation is a nonprofit foundation that exists to improve the lives of children, teens + young adults affected bu cancer through programs that bring hope + happiness. Sean Lewis Robinson was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in 2003. Inspired by his own battle with the disease, he helped found The Seany Foundation and after Sean's death in 2006, the Robins family began working on making Sean's dream a reality + to date have raised over 8 million dollars in the fight against childhood cancer.
